At PETS Referral Center, we get a ton of interesting questions from pet parents. Below are some common FAQs that might help answer any questions or concerns. Please feel free to call us at 510-548-6684 for any other concerns you might have about your pet.
What type of pets do you see?
Dog, cats, and exotics only.
What are your payment options?
Payment in full is required at the time services are rendered. We accept credit cards, cash, and CareCredit, Scratch Pay, and Trupanion.

How does my pet insurance work?
Trupanion:
- We offer Trupanion Vet Direct Pay.
- This allows Trupanion to pay the covered portion of the invoice directly to PETS without having to wait for reimbursement.
- Please Bring your pets’ Trupanion policy number with you and inquire with staff for more details.
All other insurance companies:
- Client is responsible for payment at time of service.
- After discharge your insurance will require you to submit a PDF of you pet’s invoice and possibly the medical record to start a claim. Please check the requirements of your particular insurance.
- Reimbursement may vary depending on your deductible and policy.
- Please contact your insurance provider for more details.
